From within seemingly repetitive sequences emerge unique characters, each with its own story and morphology, open to infinite possibilities of new encounters and confrontations among one another. Together they form a sort of tribe, a group of misfits from a world halfway between the cosmos and my childhood scribbles, an elaborate letter from the "Sky People" to myself-- or maybe the other way round.

“unearthly - on earth” is an exploration of this personal iconography, across different scales and textures.

Shogh Ian, 1989 is a Lebanese Armenian visual artist based in Beirut. With a fascination for colors and forms from her early childhood, she pursued a degree in Art and Interior Architecture and cofounded Dachaq gallery in 2019. Her works have shown in various collective exhibitions.
